Each spring, the Down Syndrome Association of Tulsa offers scholarships to members of the Tulsa-area Down syndrome community to attend the National Down Syndrome Congress convention. This convention is an international gathering of experts, doctors, families and self-advocates. Attendees with hear the latest breakthroughs on therapy, research and advocacy for individuals with Down syndrome.
Scholarships range from $1,500 to $1,800 and are intended to provide expense assistance to attend the NDSC Convention. Families can be awarded one scholarship every three years. The National Down Syndrome Congress convention takes places every summer in a different city each year. The NDSC convention will take place in Orlando, FL, July 20-23, 2023.
Registration for the 51st Annual Convention opens at 9:00 a.m. ET on Tuesday, March 21.
