The Down Syndrome Association of Tulsa (DSAT) is a non-profit organization that exists to enhance the lives of individuals with Down syndrome, their families and communities. This is accomplished by fostering positive attitudes & opportunities for people with Down syndrome via empowerment, inclusion, educational events & purposeful connections while celebrating their extraordinary lives.

The Buddy Walk is a multi-city advocacy walk in which people with Down syndrome invite "buddies" to walk with them. Buddies can be anyone from friends to teachers or coworkers to politicians. Goal of the Buddy Walk is to celebrate National Down Syndrome Awareness month, which is October, and promote acceptance and inclusion of people with Down syndrome.
